I predict that Kamala Harrris will win over Donald Trump in this 2024 Election. I agonized about making a prediction. I called the 2016 election correctly, when my peers and colleagues and seniors wouldn't believe me. I thought Trump would win the 2020 election but wasn't certain enough to make a prediction. I admit: I was wrong. After reviewing all the signs and current tea leaves, and we all know this one is going to be close election, I forecast that Harris will win.
I didn't vote in this election. I found the whole choice to be polarizing to be honest. I've never seen our country in worse shape, than it is now. I think the economy and inflation did better under Trump. Crime didn't feel like it was out of control. Undocumented immigration didn't seem like a burden on this country. Even now, I know of at least one undocumented lady who's defrauding our welfare system.
And you know what I find problematic with the attitude of the Democrats? Not everyone, but they get annoyed or irritated to hear about these real problems. And I feel like they try to force people to adopt their viewpoint. That's no good. We all need to respect people's values and thoughts and not demean them for having different beliefs.
But, it really made me think, when Bernie Sanders accused Elon Musk of controlling Trump. That was concerning. I also find Trump's racially insensitive comments towards minorities to be repulsive. And Trump seems to be a little too cozy with North Korea.
For you readers who don't know, my mother and her family fled from communist North Korea. Her family lost everything in the North. I actually lost an aunt, I never met, to the Communist Chinese reinforcement soldiers.
Harris has her issues too. I found Harris remarks for Christians to go to another rally to be repulsive too. Would she have said this, if the person said "Worship Allah or Buddha"? I don't think so.
Personally, despite the rising crime levels (who the Democrats say isn't happening) and the incompetence and callousness of law enforcement (who blame everything on the prosecutor's office), two themes which constantly pervaded in 2020-2024, I have to say my own life did better between 2020-2024 than it did in 2016-2020.
Is that because of the Democrats? Personally, I don't think so. It's probably more so, because of my faith, family, friends, and cat - to be honest. But I can say 2020-2024 were good years for me.
So, I'm deeply, deeply divided.
In any event, this will be a close election. I hope more is done to protect victims from criminals, including the street criminal and the Wall Street fraudsters and fraudsters, in general, and elder abusers. There needs to be tighter controls at the border as well to ensure that criminals, terrorists, and foreign saboteurs are not being permitted through.
Anyways, I wish both parties the best of luck. This may perhaps be the most divisive election since Abraham Lincoln.
